CCV Estremoz video channel
"Without thought, without structured dialogue about why things are, without controversy, without enigma, without true experimentation, there is no science and no scientific education."
Jose Mariano Gago
The action of the Ciência Viva Centers is not limited to the interaction with their exhibitions.
At CCVEstremoz many of our activities are dedicated to understanding the processes that make our planet the way it is. A video channel is now added to field trips, experimental activities or books.
Science on Tal Canal - CCVEstremoz, is a new way for us to be closer to you on a regular basis.

Poincare said that
"Just as a house is made of bricks, Science is made of bricks.
of facts.
But just like a pile
of bricks is not a house,
a bunch of facts
It's not Science."
After all the bricks are important. Ciência em Curtas brings together small videos
(10-15 minutes) that help us understand
the world around us.

Science in Feature Films brings together a set of films that look at different processes by interpreting them
in the context of dynamics
of our planet Earth.
when understanding
of the functioning of several natural processes come together, we have the ability to

The strange periods of contention in which we live force us to stay away from this field that has so much to teach us. Despite everything, as paradoxical as it may seem, it is not impossible to practice Field Geology techniques… at Home… Taking advantage of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, CCVEstremoz decided to launch one more of its activities to support teaching… FAZ GEOLOGIA FIELD... INSIDE...
Click to access exercises on 12 outcrops chosen from some of the regions where we have been working and which are particularly important from the point of view of understanding geological processes
It is now possible to visualize in detail and in three dimensions samples of rocks, minerals and fossils.
In the safety of their home, teachers and students can now "handle" samples of rocks, minerals and fossils that they study in class… It's not like having a rock in your hand but… it's almost… All the samples available are accompanied by a sheet with a general description for the student and some supplementary information for the teacher.
Other samples will be available soon… stay tuned@

“And out of rock became rock… the magic of metamorphism”
“Rocks in motion… a dance with energy”
“And from magma became rock… the science of cooling”
“Rocks and geological maps… a 3D challenge”
